LACE IS HOT (and cool)! (2 meetings, $40)
Lace scarves, tops, shawls and sweaters are featured in all the current books and magazines. Learn the basics of knitting lace and reading lace patterns. The first meeting will introduce the techniques, then you’ll work on a simple project to bring back for the second meeting.
BEGINNER’S PROJECT (2 meetings, $40)
Select a project that is right for your level. In the first class you’ll work on gauge, understanding the pattern, and getting started. The second class will be at least two weeks later, and you’ll get help with the next steps.
CRAYON BOX JACKET (3 meetings, $60)
This class has been a favorite, so we’ll offer it again in case you missed the earlier ones. Work with your own stash of yarns to design, knit, finish and enjoy wearing a jacket that arises like a phoenix from your leftover bits and pieces.
IMPORTANT BASICS (3 meetings, $60)
* Cast on methods: learn several different ways to cast on and understand which methods are best for which circumstances
* Reading patterns: get help with decoding patterns, understanding instructions and mastering the language of knitting. Bring your own patterns to get help reading them.
